Explicit Consent

This notice governs the explicit consent that some of the features offered by IS.TEAM LLC (the runime brand) need in order to work. Under article 6of Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), processing data that qualifies as special-category personal data requires separate, explicit consent.

In runime the only area that falls within this scope is the voice-changer (voice-changer / STS) feature: with it you record a line in your own voice, and the system recasts your voice into the character voice you chose. The voice sample you record counts as biometric / special-category data because it can identify you. Likewise, the face or likeness references you upload so we can recreate a character in our own style fall within this consent.

This document sits alongside the Privacy Policy (the KVKK art.10 information notice) but is an independent legal basis. The Privacy Policy informs you; this notice obtains your explicit consent, which is the sole legal basis for the processing described here.

Giving consent is entirely optional and is not a precondition for using the service. Even without consent, script writing, scene/image and video generation, and every other core feature keep working; only the voice-changer and the face/likeness personalisation features are disabled.

As data controller, IS.TEAM LLC (under the runime brand) is the party responsible for this statement. The company is based in Delaware, United States; the cloud infrastructure and AI tools we rely on are likewise international in nature. The implications of this for cross-border transfers under KVKK art.9 are explained below in the “Third-party tools we work with” section.

This explicit consent covers only the data listed below. Data we already process to create your account or produce a film (such as your email, script text, and the generated image/video/audio) is outside the scope of this notice; its legal basis is performance of a contract and legitimate interest, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.

• The voice sample you record: in the voice-changer (STS) feature, the audio you record with your microphone to perform a line with the emotion you want. Because it can identify you, this recording is treated as biometric / special-category personal data under KVKK art.6.
• The face / likeness references you upload:the photos or visual references you provide so we can generate a character (based on your own appearance, or that of a person whose consent you have obtained). To the extent they contain a person’s face/likeness, they are processed as data that requires particular care.

If you upload someone else’s voice or face, you represent that you have obtained that person’s explicit consent and that you have the right to share this content.

We process the data covered by this consent solely to carry out the generation you request:

• Voice-changer (STS): recasting the timbre of your own recorded voice into the voice of a character in your film, so the line is performed with the emotion and tone you want.
• Personalisation: passing the face/likeness references you upload to the image/video generation models as scene context, so the character is recreated in keeping with runime’s visual style.

This data is not used for any other purpose. Processing lasts only for as long as it takes to complete the relevant generation.

To carry out the generation, we transmit your voice/visual data to the infrastructure and AI providers below, acting as data processors. Because some of these providers are located abroad, the processing involves a cross-border transfer within the meaning of KVKK art.9, and this explicit consent also serves as the basis for that transfer.

Our payment processor (Stripe) is not on this list; your card and billing data is processed under performance of a contract (KVKK art.5/2-c), not explicit consent, and is never shared with your voice/visual references.

In line with the data-minimisation principle, the voice sample you record for the voice-changer (STS) feature is not stored permanently: it is deleted within 30 days of the operation completing, at the latest. Once the generation is finished the raw voice recording is no longer needed, so it is deleted automatically.

The face/likeness references you upload are kept for as long as the related character/project remains in your account; when you delete the project or your account, the references are permanently deleted together with the rest of your project data within 30 days. Where periods differ, the shortest period that triggers deletion prevails.

This explicit consent is narrow and specific. The following processing is NOT INCLUDED in this consent, and your data is not used for these purposes:

• Advertising and marketing: your voice or likeness references are not used to display ads or for marketing.
• Profiling: we do not build behavioural profiles or run automated assessments from this data.
• Sale/sharing with third parties: your data is not sold to any third party or transferred for marketing purposes; it is passed only to the technical providers that carry out the generation, for that processing purpose.
• Model training: your voice recording and your face/likeness references are not used to train runime’s or any provider’s AI models.

If in the future we want to process data for one of these purposes, we will ask for a new explicit consent separately and in advance; accepting this notice does not count as consent for those purposes.

You may withdraw the explicit consent you have given at any time, without giving a reason and free of charge. Withdrawal takes effect going forward: it does not affect processing lawfully carried out up to the moment of withdrawal, but no new processing is done from that point on.

You can withdraw your consent in two ways:

• by turning the relevant feature off in the app’s settings; or
• by sending an email to support@runime.com.

When you withdraw your consent, the voice-changer and face/likeness personalisation features are disabled; on your request, any stored voice/likeness data is also deleted.

Under KVKK art.11 you may exercise the following rights by applying to the data controller:

• to learn whether your personal data is being processed,
• to request information about it if it has been processed,
• to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose,
• to know the third parties, at home or abroad, to whom the data has been transferred,
• to request that incomplete or inaccurate data be corrected,
• to request its erasure or destruction under the conditions in KVKK art.7,
• to request that any correction/erasure be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred,
• to object to an outcome against you that arises solely from automated analysis of your data,
• to claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

We may update this explicit-consent notice in line with changes in the law or the evolution of our features. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page is refreshed with every change.

If a change broadens the scope of the consent (for example a new type of data or a new processing purpose), your existing consent is not treated as valid for that new scope; we will ask for your explicit consent again before you use the feature in question.

By ticking the relevant box in the app, you give the following statement:

“For the purpose of using runime’s voice-changer and personalisation features, I give my explicit consent — freely and informed by this notice — to the processing of the voice sample I record and the face/likeness references I upload for the purposes described in this notice and by the third-party tools listed here; to their processing as special-category personal dataunder KVKK art.6; and to their transfer abroad, where those tools are located, under art.9. I understand that this consent is optional, that I can use the core service even without giving it, and that I can withdraw my consent at any time, free of charge and with effect going forward.”
